Co-founder & CTO / Chief Engineer

This is a co-founder role, not a hire. You will be employee #2 and own the technical side of the company end-to-end. At day zero that means designing and building the first working ATLAS prototype yourself, on a bench, in a shop. As we grow, you build the engineering team around you and split into a pure CTO role.

You will work directly with the CEO on fundraising, customer pilots, and company direction. Expect to spend half your time with a soldering iron or in CAD, and the other half talking to investors and design partners.

• Design and build the first ATLAS prototype: mechanical structure, actuation, power, sensing, control
• Own the full system architecture across mechanical, electrical, firmware, and software
• Make the build-vs-buy calls on actuators, batteries, sensors, materials
• Run early field trials on real operators and iterate the design from what you see
• Co-lead fundraising with the CEO — own the technical narrative with investors
• Hire and lead the first engineers as we scale post-seed

• 7+ years shipping electromechanical products: robotics, medical devices, drones, powered prosthetics, or adjacent hardware
• You have personally taken a hardware product from blank page to working unit
• Strong in mechanical design and FEA (SolidWorks, Fusion, or similar)
• Comfortable across electrical design, embedded firmware (C/C++, RTOS), and systems integration
• You can build it yourself if no one else is around to do it
• Founder mindset: long horizon, high ownership, willing to be employee #2 with all that implies

• Background in exoskeletons, wearable robotics, or human-machine interaction
• Experience with medical device or CE-marked hardware regulatory paths
• Previous startup or founding experience
• Based in or willing to relocate to Amsterdam / Randstad
